Bordeaux

(1) A port city in the Southwest corner of France with just over 1,000,000 inhabitants. The city of Bordeaux also lends its name to Bordeaux AC, one of the most famous wine growing regions in the world. The wines of Bordeaux are blended wines that may be composed of five grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec.
(2) A slang term for a wine from the Bordeaux region.
