Beaune

The name of a town in the Cote d ‘Or that is considered the capital of winemaking. The wines from the Beaune region feature the Pinot Noir grape.

Beerenauslese

A German term that translates as “hand selected” and refers to wine made from individually selected grapes. The grapes selected are typically infected with Botrytis cinerea, a “noble rot” that shrivels the grapes, concentrating the flavors and the sugar. Beerenauslese wines have residual sugar levels between 26% and 30%.

Bentonite

A type of clay used to clarify or fine wine.
